The concept of On Da Rocks Restaurant was to create a mini island oasis atop the scenic hills, offering panoramic views of a serene lake and surrounding open spaces. The project aimed to cater to diverse guest groups, from couples to larger gatherings, by designing spaces tailored to each. This concept guided the placement of amenities to optimize the guest experience.
To address the constraints, several innovative solutions were implemented. A steel construction approach was adopted to create a lightweight and low-maintenance structure, overcoming the challenges posed by the rocky terrain. Key innovations included the design and construction of a cantilevered Glass bridge (Sky walk), a Steel trussed performance stage, and meandering seating spaces integrated along the hillside walk, enhancing the restaurant's allure and functionality.
