Our Story
Metarch Studios was officially founded in 2019 by Ar. Anupam Deb, who had just returned to India after completing his Master’s in Architecture from Politecnico di Milano, Italy. But the seeds of this journey were sown much earlier. Even before leaving for his master’s, Anupam had already begun taking up projects in his hometown of Ranchi. By the time he came back, a handful of those projects were completed, and he had organically built a strong network in the city.
What truly drove him was a vision, he saw immense potential in Ranchi’s infrastructure development. At the same time, there was a clear gap in the industry, a lack of design-focused practices that could bring world-class quality to a city so close to his heart. It wasn’t a difficult decision. Ranchi was home. He chose to stay, build, and give back to the place where he had grown up. And with that, Metarch Studios was born, with nothing more than 2–3 team members, big dreams, and a strong sense of purpose.
Today, that little dream is taking shape, brick by brick, drawing by drawing, changing the skyline of Ranchi, and more importantly, changing the way people experience their spaces.
Founded in 2019, Metarch Studios was built on a very clear vision, to bring high-quality design to Ranchi and other parts of Jharkhand, and to bridge the gap in the local construction industry. The aim was never just about building structures, it was about elevating lifestyles, reshaping perceptions, and introducing a level of luxury and detail that people didn’t even realize was possible in their own city.
The core values that guide us
Though Metarch Studios still proudly calls itself a startup, the journey has been full of small wins and solid growth. Over the last 6 years, the scale and typology of projects have expanded, from homes and hotels to larger commercial and institutional spaces. Perhaps the most meaningful marker of progress has been the trust of clients, many of whom come back to us or refer us to their families and friends.
This year marks a major milestone, we’ve grown into a team of 25+ passionate, skilled individuals, each bringing something unique to the table. And with them, our studio culture has grown richer, stronger, and more collaborative than ever.
At Metarch Studios, we don’t work like a corporate, we work like a family. Design is at the heart of everything we do, but so is people. We believe the best ideas come from a place of curiosity, freedom, and joy, not stress or hierarchy. That’s why we encourage learning, sharing, growing, and creating together.
Yes, we work hard, very hard. But we also make sure to celebrate often, break routines, and create space for playful creativity. Because a team that feels alive and inspired is the one that truly creates magic.
